Since 1990, David has been a licensed judge, having had the privilege of presiding over some of the most prestigious Arabian horse events in the world, including the renowned Scottsdale Arabian, the Canadian Nationals, and the U.S. National Championships. His keen eye for excellence and in-depth knowledge of the breed make him a respected figure in the Arabian horse community.

David Mikosz’s deep connection to Arabian horses began at just 16 years old, when he first discovered his passion for the breed at a neighbor's farm in the charming town of Wallingford, Connecticut. From that first encounter, the Arabian’s grace, intelligence, and fiery spirit captivated him, igniting a lifelong devotion to both the horses and the dedicated community that celebrates them.

Over the years, David and his wife, Lorrie, have built an outstanding reputation in the Arabian horse world, earning countless awards and National Championship titles for their clients and horses. Their tireless dedication to excellence and their passion for the breed has made them a beloved team among equestrians and enthusiasts alike.

With more than 40 years of hands-on experience training and showing Arabians, David has worked with some of the most esteemed farms across the country. His unwavering commitment to the Arabian horse shines through in every aspect of his work. To him, it’s not just a profession, it’s a lifelong journey that fills him with joy and gratitude every day.

Your Guide to Horseback Riding Excellence!

With over 45 years of experience, Lorrie Mikosz has been helping riders of all levels build strong, lasting connections with their horses since 1985. As a skilled farm manager, professional trainer, and instructor, Lorrie’s passion for horses began in her childhood on a dairy farm in central Connecticut. It was there she rode Quarter Horses, Appaloosas and Saddlebreds, taking on all aspects of horse care—from cleaning stalls to training, showing, and competing in 4-H and other equine activities.

After her 1980 marriage to David Mikosz, Lorrie began ascending through the ranks of the Arabian show horse community, ultimately guiding numerous horses and riders to many National Championship titles in Equitation as well as English pleasure, Show Hack, English Sidesaddle and Arabian Native Costume.

“I love all breeds and types of horses,” explains Lorrie, “and I thoroughly enjoy instructing all levels of riders so that they can get the utmost enjoyment and best performance from their horses.”

Certified by the American Riding Instructors Association and a recognized USEF/AHA R Arabian Judge, Lorrie continues to inspire and teach in Bluffton, South Carolina, where she lives with her husband, David, and their two Ragdoll cats, Coco and Lucy.
